Trouble Brews Between Reese Witherspoon & Jennifer Aniston in New ‘Morning Show’ Season 2 Trailer

Ready? Set. Action! Apple TV+ just released another glimpse of The Morning Show season two, and it looks even more dramatic than the first installment (if that’s even possible).

The trailer confirms season two picks up right where we left off, with Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) taking a much-needed leave of absence. Although she’s no longer working for UBA, the network executive, Cory Ellison (Billy Crudup), is determined to get her back.

“The game is changing. My job is to ensure the stability of UBA,” he says. And then adds, “Alex, I need you to come back. You are the only thing that can save us.”

This proves to be a problem for Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon), who refuses to “get edged out.” She explains, “I feel like they’re bringing in my big sister to clean up my mess.”

Not to mention, the network is getting called out for timely social issues. “There is a pattern of behavior around here that disadvantages the people of color,” Daniel Henderson (Desean Terry) says in the clip.

Oh, and how can we forget about Mitch Kessler (Steve Carell), who’s supposed to sit down for a tell-all interview about his controversial departure? This should be, er, interesting.

Other cast members include Mark Duplass (Charlie Black), Néstor Carbonell (Yanko Flores), Bel Powley (Claire Conway), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Hannah Shoenfeld), Karen Pittman (Mia Jordan) and Greta Lee (Stella Bak).

The Morning Show season two will premiere on September 17, with new episodes dropping every Friday on Apple TV+.
