Who Is Lizzo’s Boyfriend? Everything We Know About the ‘Truth Hurts’ Singer’s Dating Status
We love Lizzo for her body-positive confidence-boosting anthems like “Truth Hurts” and “Good as Hell.” And with so many catchy songs about romance, heartbreak and self-love, we couldn’t help but wonder about the 31-year-old's actual love life.
So, what’s the scoop on Lizzo’s boyfriend and dating history? We’re giving you all the details.
1. Who is Lizzo’s boyfriend?
Answer: No one. Although, the “Good As Hell” singer has previously dabbled in some online dating.
During an interview with Busy Philipps for her talk show Busy Tonight back in April, the singer was asked if she's tried out Raya—the dating app for celebrities. “I tried to match with John Mayer, it didn't work,” Lizzo responded. Now that’s a couple we can get behind.

2. What is her dating history?
Lizzo has remained pretty tight-lipped about her actual past relationships. However, she’s been incredibly open about flirting with celebrities and sliding into people’s DMs. Yup, she even confessed to Philipps that she once DM'd Drake.
And after Chris Evans shared a video of a little girl dancing to Lizzo's “Juice,” she tweeted at him, “Wow marry me.” She later screenshotted the Twitter thread and shared it to her Instagram Story with the caption, “Shooters gon shoot.” You go, girl.
3. Did she really date a Player from the Minnesota Vikings?
In her hit song "Truth Hurts," the singer references a “new man on the Minnesota Vikings” in the chorus. And fans quickly wondered if the lyrics were true and if so, who was this mystery man?
During a May 2019 concert, Lizzo disclosed that the mystery boyfriend who inspired the song was from her hometown of Detroit. “Y'all want to know a secret?” she asked. “The person I wrote that song about is from Detroit.” But it doesn’t seem like anything serious came out of that relationship.
4. Did she ever date Trevor Noah?
Back in April, Lizzo appeared on The Daily Show, hosted by Trevor Noah, and fans were quick to notice that she and the host were not-so-subtly flirting with one another during the interview.
However, Lizzo quickly cleared up the rumors during the interview with Philipps we mentioned earlier.
“I told him I would risk it all,” she told Philipps. “He's playing hard to get, but I'mma get you, Trevor.”
5. Is Lizzo single?
As far as we can tell, yes.
Her priority seems to be on herself. “... even if I were in a relationship, I'm a single-minded individual, and I really like my freedom,” she told People. “I think there's a lot of people that need to be in relationships and need to be in love. I want it sometimes, but I don't need it.” We couldn’t agree more.
