No, this is not some kind of Ryan Lochte faux scandal. Reports have surfaced that Kim Kardashian, while visiting Paris for Fashion Week, was held at gunpoint Sunday night and robbed of $10 million worth of jewelry.
According to NBC News, two men (armed and masked) forced their way into Kardashian's private residence, tied her up, locked her in the bathroom and took a $4.5 million ring (likely her infamous engagement ring) along with a jewelry box estimated at $5.6 million.
Sources say that five men in total contributed to the robbery plan. Dressed as police officers, they made their way past the night guard at the Hotel de Pourtales, a luxury apartment building that rents to the rich and famous. A rep for Kardashian says she is badly shaken up but not physically harmed.
Her husband Kanye West cut his set short at the Meadows Music Festival in Queens, NY, to be by her side. Sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner were seen on Snapchat earlier that night leaving Kardashian to attend Fashion Week events, but it is believed that her children North (3) and Saint (10 months) were not with her at the time. Kardashian and West left Paris Monday morning.
