If you’re looking to shake up your next movie night with an edge-of-your-seat thriller, we highly recommend you add I Am Legend to your streaming queue.

The movie (which stars Will Smith) originally premiered in 2007, so it’s been around for quite some time. However, it recently claimed a spot on Netflix’s list of most-watched movies. (It’s currently ranked at number ten behind popular flicks like Bigfoot Family, Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell, Moxie, I Care a Lot and Step Up 4.)

I Am Legend is loosely based on the namesake 1954 novel by Richard Matheson. The movie takes place in post-apocalyptic New York City, shortly after a man-made plague sweeps the country and turns humans into terrifying mutants.

The story follows an intelligent scientist named Robert Neville (Smith), who’s seemingly immune to the virus. Not only is he on the hunt for fellow survivors, but he’s also determined to find a cure. (Disclaimer: The film is loaded with jump scares, so viewer discretion is advised.)

In addition to Smith, I Am Legend also stars Alice Braga (Anna), Charlie Tahan (Ethan), Salli Richardson-Whitfield (Zoe), Willow Smith (Marley) and Darrell Foster (Mike). The movie was directed by Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), while Mark Protosevich (The Cell) and Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind) wrote the screenplay.

I Am Legend, here we come.
