Love all things supernatural? Well, I just so happen to have the perfect Netflix show—and the series just hit number one on the platform’s top ten list over the weekend.

Currently sitting at the top spot of the streaming service’s most-watched shows list is the Netflix Original docuseries, Files of the Unexplained. Produced by Vox, who notably created the Today, Explained podcast and Netflix’s The Mind, Explained, this investigative series (which premiered on April 3) delves into eight haunting stories that have plagued ordinary households of America.

From UFO sightings to mysterious disappearances, supernatural stans like myself are given a glimpse into the most terrifying phenomena.

Each episode covers a different story, such as the terrifying tale of two men who went missing during a 1973 fishing trip in Mississippi, supposed spirits roaming the notorious Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville and more. Files of the Unexplained also explores events that occurred in California (the story of Mount Shasta) and British Columbia (the lore of the Salish Sea). And if you were wondering, yes, every story is based on real-life accounts and first-hand testimony.

This time last week, there was a different show occupying the number one spot. Last Monday, I reported that the number one show was the limited series Testament: The Story of Moses, which chronicles the story of Moses and follows the prince-turned-prophet as he leads the Israelites to freedom, parts the Red Sea to allow them to escape the Egyptians and receives the Ten Commandments.

In an interview with Netflix’s Tudum, the show’s producers—Emre Sahin and Kelly McPherson—shared their inspiration behind creating the series. “Anyone who has seen The Ten Commandments as a child was well aware of the more epic elements of the tale,” they said. “The burning bush, the plagues, Passover, the Red Sea, and, of course, the Ten Commandments. What really drew us in was the mystery of Moses’ inner life, his struggles with his own identity, his self-doubt, his humanness.”

All eight episodes of Files of the Unexplained are streaming right now on Netflix.
