The 7 Best Super Bowl Events If You Don’t Have a Ticket to the Game

hero superbowl

Even if you’re not a football fan, this year’s Super Bowl LIV is worth celebrating. It’s taking place right in our backyard, after all. Though scoring tickets to the game is pretty much out of the question, venues across Miami have taken up the challenge to throw their own blowout game-day events instead—Lady Gaga included. Here are our favorites.

5 Things Miamians Are Talking About Right Now

1. The All-Encompassing Free (!) Event

One of the only free-to-the-public events will Super Bowl LIVE presented by Verizon take over Bayfront Park for eight straight days jam-packed with tailgating, water shows, music and dance performances, and chef demos. (January 25 to February 1)

2. The Perfect Spot for Football Fanatics

Similar to Super Bowl LIVE, think of the Super Bowl Experience presented by Lowe’s at the Miami Beach Convention Center as a football-inspired interactive theme park. There will be games, youth football clinics, NFL swag, virtual reality experiences and even autograph sessions with NFL players. (January 25 and 26, and January 29 to February 1)

3. For the All-Out Party

Former Miami Heat star Shaquille O’Neal is behind Shaq’s Fun House. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because O’Neal hosts this circus-like music festival every year during Miami Music Week. This time, expect rides, food, an open bar, game-themed activations, and performers including Pitbull and DJs Tiësto and Diplo. (January 31 at 9 p.m.)

4. For Football Fans Who Want a Miami-Style Party

We see you: You love football, but you also want to take advantage of all that Miami has to offer. Enter Super Fan Fest 2020 at Wynwood Marketplace. Check out Super Bowl-themed activations while also drinking at open-air sports bars and enjoying neighboring restaurants and music performances. (January 30 to February 2)

5. For Lady Gaga Fans

Um, Lady Gaga is performing at Island Gardens right before the Super Bowl. Yes, that Lady Gaga is performing and tickets are open to the public. Get one before they sell out. ((February at 8:30 p.m.)

6. A Party Fit for Super Bowl Champs

Five-time Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski may be retired from the NFL, but that doesn’t mean he can’t throw a winning party. At Gronk Beach, eat and drink your way to the game with performances by Rick Ross and Flo Rida. (February 1 from 1 to 7 p.m.)

7. Come for the Game, Stay for the Music

Super Bowl? More like a three-day music festival. Snag a ticket to the Super Bowl LIV Music Fest 2020 and catch performances by some of the biggest names in music, from Maroon 5 and Guns N’ Roses, to DJ Khaled and Meek Mill. (January 30 to February 1)
