Apple TV+ Is Debuting a New Charlie Brown Special & We're Having All the Nostalgic Feels

Calling all blockheads!

Everyone's favorite squad of animated elementary schoolers will be returning to our TV screens in the new Apple TV+ documentary special, Who Are You, Charlie Brown? The special, narrated by Lupita Nyong'o, will air at the end of this month and it will feature commentary from the likes of Drew Barrymore, Billie Jean King and many other major celebs.

In the press announcement, Apple said the special will honor the 'everyman' creator, Charles 'Sparky' Schulz in a celebration of “the significance and global multi-generational popularity of the comic strip [Peanuts] and its timeless artistry and design to profile the man whose simple characters would touch the lives of millions through the decades and become beloved cultural icons.”

Check out the full trailer for the special below.

“Long before there was a boy named Charlie Brown, there was a man named Charles Schulz,” Nyong'o says in the trailer.

In a vintage interview, creator Schulz says, “I think Charlie Brown is just a little bit of what all of us have inside of us.” He later adds, with a laugh, “Keep on trying. Charlie Brown never gives up. And if anybody should give up, he should.”

Who Are You, Charlie Brown? will premiere on Apple TV+ on June 25. Until then, we'll be revisiting all of our favorite classic specials.
