Loved ‘Bridget Jones’s Diary’? You Need to Watch Netflix’s ‘An Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts’

If you’ve watched Bridget Jones’s Diary a million times and still haven’t grown tired of the comedic one-liners, then you’re in luck.

Netflix just dropped the first official trailer for the upcoming Italian series, An Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts. Based on the namesake novel by Silvia Zucca, the show seems like a must-watch for rom-com fans, especially those who have interest in astrology.

An Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts tells the story of Alice Bassi (Claudia Gusmano), a thirty-something woman who’s convinced she’s failing at adulthood. Not only does she have a lame job, but she’s also single with no romantic prospects in sight.

Everything changes when she meets Tio (Lorenzo Adorni), an actor who doubles as a zodiac expert. Though skeptical, Alice decides to take his advice and begins dating men who are astrologically compatible to her.

“This is your birth chart,” Tio says. To which Alice responds, “Are you kidding? My Relationship House is a giant black hole, and I’m surprised I can’t find a boyfriend?”

Of course, Alice soon learns that the stars don’t align for everyone. “Do you realize I was about to tell him? And then I puked all over him,” she says.

An Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts was created and co-directed by Bindu de Stoppani (Finding Camille), who helmed the series with her co-director, Michela Andreozzi (Genitori vs Influencer). She also co-wrote the script alongside Fabrizio Cestaro (The Turn of the Screw).

An Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts will hit Netflix on October 27. *Sets calendar reminder*
