We Partnered with Ulta Beauty to Celebrate the Women *Behind* the Big Game—Here’s What You Missed

Hosted by Chanen Johnson (wife of New Orleans Saints Tight End Juwan Johnson), this exciting and festive event offered WAGs (wives and girlfriends of athletes) and sports fans alike an opportunity to get glam and celebrate before the big game.

And no shocker here: the list of VIP guests who came out to celebrate was seemingly endless, from The Bachelor star Kelsey Anderson and model Katie Austin, to Savannah Demers, Amy Pickett, Gary Vaynerchuk, Dale Moss, Melanie and Austin Ekeler and many more.

During the party, guests were able to receive services from Ulta Beauty stylists and makeup artists at the Beauty Bar (hello, glossy lips and chic hairstyles), customize football jerseys, take part in some seriously cute photo ops, score some of Ulta Beauty’s ’new & need’ products from their gifting wall and dance the night away with their fellow WAGs and football enthusiasts, all with the amazing local Young Pinstripe Brass Band underscoring the party. Here are some of our favorite moments.

No Ulta Beauty party would be complete without a glam station—more specifically, their customized beauty bar, adorned with football accents and custom salon-style leather chairs.

Here, guests could choose from a variety of options from their beauty menu, including “Big Game Glow Eyes” (an added layer of sparkle to your eyeshadow look, courtesy of Stila Glitter and Glow Liquid Eyeshadow), “Cheer Squad Up Lip” (thanks to the Shine Loud Vegan High Shine Long-Lasting Liquid Lipstick from NYX) and a “Hail Mary Hair” style (hair gems from Hally Hair or a sleek, high pony created with the help of products like Briogeo’s Style + Treat Yuzu + Plum Oil Hair Styling Sleek Stick, Redken’s Max Sculpting Gel and the Kenra Volume Spray), all expertly done by Ulta Beauty stylists and makeup artists. Yep, we’re jealous.

Guests got the chance to customize their own #TeamUlta Beauty jerseys at the sleek Customization Station with their names, patches and embroidery of different colors—all ready to be picked up at the end of the night.

Just because football players have custom jerseys doesn’t mean the wives can’t too, and TBH, we were rooting for #TeamUlta all along anyway.

Of course, there were ample fun photo opportunities for guests, including this massive Ulta Beauty foam finger accessory they could pose with (as so chicly demonstrated by Chanen and her girl gang).

Dale Moss and Benji Gebauer were also big fans of their customized jerseys.

As a thank you to guests, Ulta Beauty set up the ultimate gifting wall, complete with some exciting goodies—including but not limited to picks from the Ulta Beauty collection, as well as OUAI, Supergoop, NYX, Live Tinted and more. Needless to say, it was a fabulous night for all, and certainly garnered well-deserved hype for WAGs and sports fans alike before football’s biggest night.
