When we first started seeing this clear little contraption on Facebook, we thought it looked a lot like, well, a breast implant—or a gel insole for your shoes. Turns out, it's actually a makeup applicator from Molly Cosmetics that is currently on its fourth restock because it keeps selling out.
Made from silicone and thermoplastic polyurethane, it's super flexible (so it easily reaches every nook and cranny of your face) and completely resistant to oil and grease. The biggest selling point, however, is that it doesn't waste any of your foundation.
Whereas using your fingertips, a sponge or a brush will inevitably absorb some of the product during application, the slippery surface of this disc sticks the foundation directly onto your skin. Plus, it's really easy to clean (just rinse it under the sink and pat dry with a paper towel after use).
So is it really worth the hype? Let's just say we're keeping an eye on the site for their next restock.
