We’re total suckers for coffee, but the caffeinated mixture tends to stain our pearly whites. And after a quick Google search, we learned that coffee isn’t the only drink that’s responsible for yellow teeth. (Looking at you, red wine.)

The good news is there are several ways to whiten your teeth without visiting the dentist. In the latest episode of 3 with Me, a YouTube series in which we show you the three smartest ways to do something, PureWow Creator Kate attempts to find out which viral at-home treatment works the best.

Watch this video to see Kate’s before-and-after results for yourself (and check out the step-by-step instructions below).

3 Ways to Whiten Teeth at Home:

Method 1: Laughland Whitening Kit

  1. Brush your teeth and dry any excess saliva.
  2. Use the syringe to spread the whitening gel on the mouthpiece, putting half the solution on top and half on the bottom.
  3. Use the cord to plug the LED mouthpiece into your phone. (It’s compatible with most iPhone models.) Place it in your mouth and wait for five minutes before rinsing.

Method 2: Color Wheel Teeth Whitener

  1. Squeeze a “generous” amount of product on your finger.
  2. Use your finger to spread the product onto your teeth, mimicking a brushing motion.
  3. With a clean finger, wipe off excess product. Once removed, wait five minutes before rinsing with water.

Method 3: Hydrogen Peroxide & Baking Soda

  1. In a glass, combine 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide. Once mixed, it should resemble a paste.
  2. Dip a toothbrush into the mixture and brush your teeth.
  3. Rinse with water.
