Your Weekly Horoscopes: June 21 to 27, 2020

There’s a lot going on in the skies this week, so let’s take a moment for a deep breath. Right off the bat, there’s a solar eclipse in Cancer on the 21st. Eclipses have been happening in Cancer since July 2018 (with follow-ups in July 2019 and January 2020, respectively) and this is the last—for the next ten years or so—in the sensitive sign of the crab. This eclipse forces us to face our dusty emotional corners and do a final round of deep cleaning whether we like it or not.

On the 25th, Venus stations direct in Gemini, completing her 40-day retrograde journey. What have we learned about our love life and our values since May 13th? How can we move forward with this knowledge to live more authentically?

Finally, on the 27th, action planet Mars enters its home sign of Aries. Though Mars usually spends six weeks in each sign, due to an upcoming retrograde, Mars will be in Aries until January 2021! Mars in Aries is a fighter, a warrior with a seemingly endless supply of spirit and energy—like those born with Mars in Aries: Tracy Chapman, Lauryn Hill and the revolutionary Prince. Let’s keep fighting. Let’s go for it.

(Horoscopes follow for each sign. If you know your rising sign, reading for that will provide further insight.)

3 cancer

This week’s eclipse on the 21st is personal for you, dear Cancer, as it falls in your own sensitive, nurturing sign. How have you been avoiding taking care of yourself? With Mars moving into Aries on the 27th, you’re ready for a stronger, sharper era of your career. But remember that as much as you want to grow and change and save the world, you first need to care for you. Have all the busy, rewarding and exhausting days, but don’t let yourself collapse at the end of them. Take a bubble bath. Get in your robe and watch Netflix. Put yourself first.

This week’s mantra: If there’s time for that, there’s time for me.

On the 21st, the solar eclipse brings you some forced rest and relaxation. Not only is the sun—your ruling planet—being eclipsed, but this cosmic event is happening in your unconscious sector. It’s OK to unplug, recharge and refocus so you can come back stronger than ever. With Mars moving into Aries this week, you are in for a long season (six months!) of standing up for what you believe. Spend this week making sure that what you’re fighting for really reflects your authentic self before storming ahead.

This week’s mantra: You are what you believe.

5 virgo

If Mercury retrograde has already been causing miscommunications, missed texts or awkward moments with friends, the solar eclipse on the 21st only amplifies the drama. Whether it’s a moment to come together or to break apart, it’s time to make a change in your friend groups and networks. With Venus stationing direct in your career sector on the 25th, you have the opportunity to make moves on a game-changing professional idea that’s been on the table since mid-May or even early April. Be the leader you wish to see in the world.

This week’s mantra: Some connections aren’t meant to last forever.

This week’s solar eclipse on the 21st is a huge moment for your career and public image. It’s not just about what you’re contributing to the world but how you want that contribution to be seen and heard. Though eclipses aren’t necessarily the time to launch the project, they’re certainly the time to share your thoughts, get feedback and make a plan to forge ahead. Venus—your ruling planet—finally stations direct on the 25th and though you still have an endless reading list, be proud of how you’ve focused on spiritual and intellectual pursuits. Keep going despite all the incoming distractions.

This week’s mantra: Put it out there!

7 scorpio

It’s time to put in the work, dear Scorpio. This week’s solar eclipse on the 21st falls in the part of your chart that represents religion, spirituality and what you truly believe on a soul level. Are your values being reflected in your day to day life? If you’ve been avoiding a hard conversation with your boss or a difficult lesson about time management, it becomes obvious at the eclipse. On the 27th, Mars—your ruling planet—enters Aries and you’re inspired to get back into your pre-quarantine exercise routine. Whatever’s causing you stress can be released with all those endorphins.

This week’s mantra: Sweat it out!

8 sagittarius

The solar eclipse on the 21st may bring some unexpected shifts in your shared finances or collaborative projects. If you’ve been feeling like your boyfriend’s been lying or a business partner has been keeping information from you, this is the week to get your answers. As Venus stations direct in your partnership sector on the 25th, you’re ready to take a relationship to the next level but wait to commit until after you clear the air. Spend the week having tough—but rewarding!—conversations rather than taking a leap you’ll later regret.

This week’s mantra: You need to know, so ask.

This week’s solar eclipse on the 21st reveals that you may have given too much of your heart to a romantic partner or client. Maybe it was too soon to buy a car together. Maybe it was too soon to sign a multi-year contract. This is a lesson about who really deserves your trust. As Mars moves into Aries on the 27th, things also heat up at home. Whether you’re moving, rearranging or planning a socially distanced family reunion, get ready to feel your feelings about all that’s shifting in your private life.

This week’s mantra: Your trust is worth everything.

10 aquarius

With this week’s solar eclipse on the 21st teaming up with Mercury retrograde in your daily grind sector, there are bound to be some snafus as you slog through errands and chores. Patience is elusive, but it’s also a virtue. So instead of losing your cool, try meditating while you wait for an hour to get inside UPS. The good news is that Venus is finally stationing direct on the 25th and you’re probably feeling artistic and creatively inspired. It’s time to paint that painting, write that poem or sing that song. When in doubt, get creative.

This week’s mantra: Write it all down.

11 pisces

With destabilizing Neptune stationing retrograde in your sign this week, you’re probably feeling hazy. So lean into routine and try to stay grounded. The solar eclipse on the 21st brings to light an uncomfortable truth about a former lover. Though you may want to ignore the situation, don’t avoid processing your feelings—listen to Chromatica on repeat if you must! On the 25th, after a reassuring talk with your mom or amazing sleep on your hybrid mattress, you realize that you’ve developed a deeper appreciation for your family and your home. You deserve comfort too.

This week’s mantra: Keep opening your heart.

12 aries

With the solar eclipse on the 21st comes the finale of a long-term struggle at home or with your family. It’s time to confront your sister. It’s time to tell your roommates you’re moving out. Or maybe it’s just time to clean out your closet and give away those designer boots you haven’t worn since 2011. Clearing the air helps you step into your power when Mars enters your sign on the 27th. You have a voice that needs to be heard and for the next six months (!!), you have no choice but to be loud.

This week’s mantra: Make space for yourself.

1 taurus

This week’s solar eclipse on the 21st adds further fire to whatever’s getting shaken up in your immediate surroundings. Whether your schedule—or your inbox—is overwhelming or empty, this week you’re encouraged to either delegate or take on more responsibilities for yourself. Maybe it’s time to dust off that 2020 planner and finally put it to use. On the 25th, as your ruling planet Venus stations direct, you get some positive news about a paycheck or finally receive a package that was lost or on backorder. Blessings are on the way.

This week’s mantra: Don’t schedule yourself into a corner.

2 gemini

On the 21st, the solar eclipse may bring some material drama. If a client—yet again—misses her payment or your roommate rips your favorite pleather skirt, try to remain calm. Eclipses bring havoc to remind us of what’s valuable. If something isn’t worth your time, it’s OK to let it go. Maybe you needed an excuse to buy a new pleather skirt anyway. On the 25th, as Venus goes direct in your sign, treat yourself to a luxurious skincare routine and that long overdue summer wardrobe shopping. Get comfortable again with your own style.

This week’s mantra: Get your groove back.
