Fans Have a Lot of Feelings About Randall’s Ultimatum to Rebecca on ‘This Is Us’

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

If you watched This Is Us season four’s penultimate episode, then chances are you have some thoughts about how Randall (Sterling K. Brown) pinned Rebecca (Mandy Moore) into a corner and made her agree to the clinical trial.

In case you missed it: Randall told Rebecca he can’t live not knowing he did everything he could to help her and begged her to promise to do the clinical trial. She reluctantly agreed, which will definitely cause some problems in the finale.

As you might imagine, Twitter users had some thoughts about how Randall handled the situation and didn’t hold back. Take, for instance, this Mean Girls-inspired dig.

Twitter user @TheJocTay quipped, “Raise your hand if you feel personally victimized by the #ThisIsUs writers for making you slowly dislike Randall?” She’s, of course, referencing the fact that Randall has been extremely bullish in his approach to help Rebecca as she loses her memory and has systematically shut out his siblings and Rebecca’s husband, Miguel (Jon Huertas).

Another This Is Us fan, @SamDotM, hit the nail on the head by calling out Randall’s “emotional blackmail.”

“Oh my goodness! Is Randall using emotional blackmail to get his mom to do what he wants? #ThisIsUs,” she wrote. We can’t say we don’t agree.

Last but not least, @NITA_FIX expressed her desire to put Randall in his place.

“Randall got me so confused on my feelings for him. Love him then want to smack him at the same time. #ThisIsUs,” she Tweeted. That meme though.

All we can say is that we’re hoping for some redemption when the This Is Us season four premiere airs on Tuesday, March 24, at 9 p.m. on NBC.
