Royal News Roundup: A Sweet Gift for Kate Middleton, a King Charles Health Update & a Casual Prince Harry Appearance

• Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ended their tour of Nigeria by touching back down in America at LAX. Fresh off the plane, the duchess’s airport ensemble seemed a direct nod to a style combo worn by her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, in the early ‘90s.
• The Duke and Duchess of Sussex then made a casual appearance by grabbing dinner with a few friends, just days before their sixth wedding anniversary.
• Royal fans (like myself) were over the moon over this gorgeous photo of Prince Harry and Markle standing side by side during their Nigeria trip as “God Save the King” played.

• Duchess Sophie was the first member of the royal family to visit the brand-new statue of Queen Elizabeth in Oakham Library Gardens. For the occasion, the Duchess of Edinburgh wowed in a chic collarless coat.

• On his first engagement as the newly appointed Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps (a new military title given to the prince by his dad), the Prince of Wales visited the Army Aviation Centre in Middle Wallop.
• Video from the event shows the future king accepting a sweet gift for his absent wife, Kate Middleton.
• Also in honor of his new title, Prince William shared a photo of himself at age 17 in full military gear.
• Prince William looked quite dapper at a royal garden party featuring a number of his famous relatives, though Princess Catherine was not in attendance.

• This week,  The Royal Collection Trust gave longtime royal fans a blast from the past with never-before-seen portraits of the British royal family. The throwback post includes a grainy black-and-white photo of a young King Charles and his sister Princess Anne from 1956. 
• Speaking of Princess Anne, the Princess Royal truly embodied her late mother, Queen Elizabeth, during a garden party this week. Not only was she in a monochromatic number, but she exuded elegance and grace, just like her mom.

• During a garden party at Lamb House in East Sussex, England, Queen Camilla gave an update on her husband’s health, telling one party-goer that the 75-year-old monarch is “doing well.”
• She also made a surprising joke about her husband, saying, “Well, he would if he behaved himself.”
• During a “Power of Reading” event this week, the queen revealed which magical place she’d really like to visit—and honestly, I’m not surprised by her choice.
• Following up on her bold peacock print look from last week, Queen Camilla donned another peacock ensemble, this time for an appearance at the Charleston Festival in East Sussex.
