‘Riverdale’ Is Dedicating All Future Episodes to Luke Perry

Riverdale is honoring Luke Perry with a super-special tribute, and we’re not crying, you’re crying.

Today, series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed that all future episodes of The CW series will be dedicated to the late actor. The showrunner announced the news on Twitter by sharing an old photo featuring members of the cast, including Perry (Fred), Marisol Nichols (Hermione), Lili Reinhart (Betty) and Madelaine Petsch (Cheryl).

He wrote, “Going through pictures on my way to set. From the early days. With Luke in the middle. Our heart, always. Tonight’s episode of #Riverdale finds Fred doing what he does best—helping Archie. It is dedicated to Luke, as all episodes will be for the rest of our run.”

The news about Perry’s death broke Monday morning. In addition to pausing production on Riverdale, Aguirre-Sacasa released a joint statement with the show’s executive producers.

“We are deeply saddened to learn today about the passing of Luke Perry,” it read. “A beloved member of the Riverdale, Warner Bros. and CW family, Luke was everything you would hope he would be: an incredibly caring, consummate professional with a giant heart, and a true friend to all.”

Welp, we love this so much.
