Sorry, Reese Witherspoon, but Deacon Phillippe is looking more like his dad, Ryan, by the day.
On Wednesday, The Morning Show star, 45, posted a never-before-seen photo on her personal Instagram account. The pic features Witherspoon and her son, 17, sitting at a restaurant as they pose for the camera.
As much as Phillippe resembles his mom with his blonde hair and sweet smile, there’s no denying that he’s starting to look more like Ryan the older he gets. In fact, Phillippe is nearly identical to how his dad looked in Cruel Intentions, complete with the leather jacket and white tee.
Witherspoon captioned the post, “Making sure we get some good photo options in case we ever need an album cover for the mother x son band I’m trying to convince @deaconphillippe to start with me [microphone emoji].”
One follower wrote, “I’d love to see mother x son cover.” Another person commented, “You look identical!” Someone even noted Phillippe’s resemblance to Christian Slater: “You sure he’s not Christian Slater’s son?”
Phillippe is Witherspoon’s second oldest child. The Legally Blonde actress also shares her daughter, Ava (21), with her ex-husband. Her youngest son, Tennessee (8), is from her current marriage to Jim Toth.
It’s no secret that Phillippe is often associated with his famous parents. However, the teen has been blazing his own trail in the world of music. Not only has he collaborated with artists like Nina Nesbitt and Loren Gray, but he also released his debut single, “Long Run.”
