Hide the Crock-Pots. This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman just dropped a major clue about Randall’s (Sterling K. Brown) future on the hit NBC show, and we don’t like it one bit.

In light of the upcoming episode on Super Bowl Sunday, Fogelman sat down for an interview to reassure fans there won’t be another death (RIP Jack Pearson) anytime soon. However, his choice of words proved to be a problem for some This Is Us viewers.

He said, “I can assure everybody that we’re not killing Randall this season, so everybody can relax.” This season?!

You see, many fans believe last week’s episode of This Is Us hinted that Randall will receive the same fate as Jack Pearson. During a conversation with Kevin (Justin Hartley), Randall admitted that he can’t picture himself as an old man. While the comment didn’t mean much at the time, Fogelman’s confession may have confirmed the unthinkable.

This Is Us returns to NBC on Sunday, February 4, after the Super Bowl, and we’re already preparing for a full-blown ugly-cry.
