Prince William & Kate Middleton Channel ‘Matilda’ in New Instagram Post

We enjoyed the video for several reasons: Not only does it offer a behind-the-scenes glimpse of their official outing, but it also marks the couple’s first-ever Instagram reel. The feature allows users to create multi-clip videos and add graphics directly through the app. Although it debuted back in August, Prince William and Middleton had yet to experiment with the feature.

The caption read, “A visit to one of London’s most iconic bagel shops to see behind the scenes! @beigel_bake was forced to reduce their opening hours during the pandemic but is back to 24hrs and continuing to support their local community.”

The royal outing came shortly after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the London Bridge Jobcentre, where they learned about the challenges the facility has faced since the coronavirus pandemic began. On both occasions, Middleton wore the same outfit (the Cala Rose Red dress by Beulah London), which she previously donned during a Zoom call earlier this year.

Fingers crossed Prince William and Middleton recreate this bagel-making tradition with their three children, Prince George (7), Princess Charlotte (5) and Prince Louis (2).
