After Prince Louis’s 2nd birthday last week, Prince William and Kate Middleton are pretty much experts at throwing a self-isolation party. So, do the same rules apply for the couple’s wedding anniversary today, April 29?
Unfortunately, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge don’t have much of a choice. They’re currently celebrating their ninth anniversary at their country estate, Anmer Hall, which is where they’ve been quarantining with their three children: Prince George (6), Princess Charlotte (4) and Prince Louis (2).
As for the itinerary, we expect it to include a royal family video chat, since Prince William previously revealed that they’ve been staying in touch via Zoom. “We’ve been talking to all the family online. And it’s been a really good way of keeping in touch and seeing each other,” he told the BBC.
If they decide to bake a dessert (what else is there to do?), we know Middleton will take the lead. Not only is she an amateur baker, but she also stays up late on the eves of her children’s birthdays so they can wake up to a homemade cake. It’s become an annual tradition that might just apply to anniversaries, too.
