Prince William and Kate Middleton Celebrate Their Ninth Anniversary with a Throwback Pic (Featuring a Baby-Faced Prince Harry)

We can’t believe it’s been almost a decade since Kate Middleton and Prince William tied the knot at Westminster Abbey. But it’s true—the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are celebrating nine years of marriage today!

On Wednesday, Kensington Palace honored the royal couple’s major milestone by sharing a throwback photo from their 2011 nuptials. The pic features the newlyweds smiling and holding hands as they leave the ceremony followed by the rest of their wedding party. We even get a glimpse of Prince Harry (who was around 27 at the time) as well as Kate’s siblings, Pippa and James.

Ah yes, it feels like just yesterday we were waking up at some ungodly hour to watch these two love birds say “I do” in a star-studded ceremony.

“Nine years ago today—thank you for all your lovely messages on The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding anniversary!” the Instagram caption read. And amongst the almost one million likes and comments, Princess Eugenie shared a short-but-sweet message (in the form of a heart-eyes emoji) to her cousins.

Prince William and Kate met in 2001 when they were students at the University of St. Andrews. The prince popped the question in 2010 with a sapphire-and-diamond engagement ring that belonged to his mother, the late Princess Diana.

Congrats on the big day, you two! We hope it’s full of quality time with the kids (and hopefully a Zoom call with Gan-Gan).
