Kensington Palace Just Released 2 Brand-New Photos of Prince George in Honor of His Birthday

We know it’s hard to believe, but Prince George is officially turning seven tomorrow (July 22)!

In honor of the milestone, Kensington Palace just released two new photos of the young royal. According to an official social media post, the sweet snaps were (not surprisingly) taken by his mother, Kate Middleton, earlier this month.

In the first pic, George, who is third in line to the British throne, looks super casual in a camouflage t-shirt as he smiles into the camera. The second photograph features a preppier prince as he rocks an olive polo. And we simply cannot believe how grown up he looks.

It’s no surprise that Kate and Will released special pics for their son’s big day. For his 6th birthday, we were gifted with three official portraits of PG sporting his England National soccer team jersey (of course) and showing off his missing teeth.

While we’re not quite sure how the eldest Cambridge will be celebrating this year, we’d make a small bet that Prince William and Kate Middleton probably have something fun planned, especially since they already arranged self-isolation celebrations for his two siblings, Princess Charlotte (5) and Prince Louis (2) in the last few months.

Unfortunately, there is one royal tradition that Prince George will miss out on (by a matter of days). Westminster Abbey typically rings in (literally) birthdays of the royal family by chiming the church’s bells. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the ritual is currently suspended and is expected to resume in August when the U.K.’s social distancing restrictions are lifted.

Happy early birthday, Prince George!
