Prince Charles Lived His Best James Bond Life Today

In his capacity as the Prince of Wales, Prince Charles has done everything from hang out with iguanas named Peter to joke with Ozzy Osbourne. But today, the 70-year-old heir to the British throne really upped the ante: He spent the day with James Bond.

Yes, Prince Charles toured the set of the Bond 25 film today with actor Daniel Craig at Pinewood Studios in Iver Health, England. From the looks of it, both the 70-year-old prince and Craig had the time of their lives.

Craig kicked things off by showing Prince Charles the vintage cars used in the making of the movie.

If we know anything, it’s that Charles loves compact classic cars. Craig must have done his research before spending the afternoon with the prince.

The James Bond star also didn’t shy away from getting up close and personal with His Royal Highness.

Craig got right up in Charles’s grill and pointed out what we can only assume are all the cool gadgets inside the Bond whip.

Finally, after they finished their little car tour, Craig introduced the prince to his James Bond partners in crime (solving), actor Ralph Fiennes and director Cary Joji Fukunaga.

Apparently, Fiennes was the life of the party.

But the sole purpose of Prince Charles’s visit wasn’t just fun. He was also there to celebrate the contributions the James Bond franchise has made to the British Film Institute and Intelligence Services, both of which he serves as patron to.

The Prince of Wales isn’t the first royal to rub elbows with Craig. In celebration of the 2012 Olympics, Queen Elizabeth and Craig made a spoof video in which Her Majesty jumped out of a helicopter with him à la James Bond.

We’ll keep our fingers crossed for a Prince Charles cameo in the new Bond 25 movie.
