See Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip & Prince Charles in Rare Father’s Day Throwback Pic

In honor of Father’s Day, pretty much everyone flooded Instagram with throwback photos of themselves posing with their dad. Even Prince Charles (surprisingly) got in on the fun.

The 70-year-old Prince of Wales’s people (we presume) celebrated Father’s Day yesterday on the Clarence House Instagram and posted a 62-year-old photo of Charles and the rest of his fam at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. It’s black-and-white, he’s wearing shorts à la Prince George and there’s a corgi. What more could you ask for? Oh, did we mention he and Princess Anne are happily playing like giddy schoolchildren with the help of Prince Philip?

“Happy Father’s Day,” the photo’s caption read. “Prince Charles and Princess Anne play on a seesaw with the help of their father The Duke of Edinburgh while The Queen looks on during a visit to Balmoral in 1957.”

In the photo, Prince Charles would have been about 9 (he’s tiny!) and Anne, Princess Royal must be about 7. It’s not exactly clear what all that lumber is doing in the background or which of Queen Elizabeth’s faithful corgis is photographed. Either way, we can all agree that Prince Philip, with his foot up on the seesaw, is most definitely a fun dad. He may be an IRL prince/duke wearing a suit complete with a pocket square and tie, but that doesn’t mean he’s too fancy for some playground merrymaking.

Also worth noting is Queen Elizabeth being a royal trendsetter (yet again) with a scarf tied under her chin like an Instagram fashion blogger.

Now we can’t help but wonder: Who’s a better seesaw-er—Prince Charles or Princess Anne?
