The royal family announced the exciting news on Twitter and shared a series of photos that were taken during the couple’s past visits to Devon and Cornwall.
The caption read, “Over the next few days, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall are carrying out their annual visit to Devon and Cornwall. [Camera emoji] A selection of Their Royal Highnesses’ previous visits to the South West over the years.”
The royal tour might surprise some fans, since the family has been very particular about staying indoors due to the coronavirus pandemic. Speaking of, we expect Prince Charles and Bowles to follow all social distancing protocols, which may include a limited amount of people, according to royal photographer Samir Hussein.
“I think there’s going to be very little access to them,” he said on an episode of the Royally Obsessed podcast. “When these opportunities do come up, it’s probably going to be just one or two photographers until things get back to some kind of normality.”
The announcement comes just one day after we learned that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip moved from Windsor Castle to Balmoral Castle, which is where they typically spend their summer holiday.
Cheers to more Prince Charles and Bowles sightings!
