Nicki Minaj Secretly Welcomed Her First Child with Husband Kenneth Petty—Here’s What We Know

Nicki Minaj is the latest celebrity to welcome a baby during a pandemic.

The 37-year-old singer reportedly gave birth to her first child with her husband, Kenneth Petty, according to People magazine. While very few details have been released, we do know the delivery took place on Wednesday, September 30, in Los Angeles. No word yet on the name, but we’ve got plenty of guesses (and suggestions…).

We first learned about Minaj’s pregnancy back in July when she shared a series of never-before-seen pics from her maternity photoshoot.

The news didn’t come as a huge surprise to fans, since pregnancy rumors had been swirling for a few months. It all started when Minaj participated in a Q&A on Twitter, where she low-key teased that she was expecting her first child with Petty.

When one user asked what she’s been cooking during self-quarantine, Minaj implied that she was experiencing pregnancy cravings, and it didn’t go unnoticed.

She wrote, “Absolutely. Steak. Shrimp. Plus my famous cheeseburgers. So good. Been rlly having red meat cravings then salad cravings with extra jalapeños. Ordered Chkn nachos that didn’t come w/jalapeños. Who does that? Wow.”

Minaj also joked about her symptoms, writing, “Lmao. No throwing up. But nausea and peeing nonstop. Omg what do u think this means guys???? Lmaooooooooooo.”

Minaj and Petty have known each other since they were teenagers, but their relationship wasn’t always romantic. After finally hitting it off, the pair tied the knot back in October 2019.

Congratulations to the proud parents!
