Queen Elizabeth isn’t the only one in her family getting into the holiday spirit. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were recently spotted doing some Christmas tree shopping in Los Angeles.

According to a People exclusive, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex paid a low-key visit to an unnamed tree barn on Tuesday. During the outing, one little boy apparently mistook the 35-year-old duke for an employee.

“Meghan and Prince Harry came into my work today and we sold them their Christmas Tree,” said Twitter user @imaJaaaaaames. “We had our lot empty when they got there—their agent promoted them a good time to come instead of us shutting it down. There was one family in there and their stoked little son ran through trees up to Harry and asked if he worked here not knowing who that is.” If only that little boy knew...

This will be the first year the ex-royal couple won’t be spending the holiday with Her Majesty and the rest of the royal gang across the pond. Instead, they will keep things casual with an intimate celebration in Montecito with their son Archie and Markle’s mom, Doria.

As we mentioned above, Queen Elizabeth has also been prepping for a different kind of Christmas this year. In fact, the 94-year-old monarch and Prince Philip are breaking a decades-long holiday tradition (due to the coronavirus pandemic) and will continue to isolate at Windsor Castle rather than spending Christmas at Her Majesty’s Norfolk home, Sandringham estate.

Of course, Liz has wasted no time in getting Windsor ready for Santa and has already decked out the place with decor. See the tree below.

Looks like the royals (and ex-royals) are Christmas-ready.
