Meghan Markle Just Wrote Encouraging Notes on Bananas & Now We Love Her Even More

It’s been a big day for Meghan Markle. Not only did the 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex utilize one of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s most tried-and-true parenting techniques and come face-to-face with a foul-mouthed (but funny) preteen, but she also proved she’s queen of thoughtfulness.

At One25 Charity’s outreach center, which specializes in assisting female sex workers and addicts, the duchess packed bagged lunches and came up with a clever way to share the charity’s positive message. Markle put her calligraphy skills to use and wrote notes of encouragement to women in need on banana peels.

In a video posted on Twitter by Kensington Palace, she explained, “I’m in charge of the banana messaging.”

As CBO (chief banana officer) of the operation, Markle wrote messages like, “You are special,” “You are strong,” “You are brave” and “You are loved.” She even included little hearts, because that’s just the kind of duchess she is.

The meals will be handed out to the women working on Bristol’s streets this evening, and they’ll surely be touched to find Markle’s kind messages.

It should also be noted that bananas hold a special meaning in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship. They are Prince Harry’s favorite fruit and when rumors of them dating first surfaced, Markle cheekily posted a photo of two bananas spooning on her Instagram account (RIP).

And with that, we’re off to write encouraging mantras on our own bananas. Thanks for the fruit-spo, Meg.
