So, Who Actually Paid for Meghan Markle's $200,000 Baby Shower?

Our friends are generous, don’t get us wrong…but would any of them shell out $200K for a baby shower? HELL no.

Yes, Meghan Markle’s New York City baby shower reportedly cost more than our graduate school tuition—which, in that sorta perspective, WHAT??

So did Queen Liz empty the royal coffers for this lavish party, reportedly (per People) complete with indoor orange trees, a dessert station by world-renowned chef Jean-Georges, a bouquet-arranging lesson, cotton candy machines, mysterious sugar cookies and more?

Not quite. According to Vanity Fair, tennis superstar and best-gal-pal-ever Serena Williams footed the estimated $200,000 bill, which included the price of The Mark Hotel penthouse for the baby shower celebration. The penthouse costs a whopping $75,000 a night, with two full floors, four fireplaces, five bedrooms and views of Central Park, and is the most expensive hotel room in America. So, there’s that.

If Williams doesn’t get knighted for this, or at least the official title of “Duchess of Sussex’s BFFAEAEAE,” we don’t know what the world has come to.

Reportedly, Amal Clooney lent her private jet to Meghan to use for her flight back and forth across the pond, which is estimated to cost $125,000 each way, per The Daily Mail.

OK, you guys, what’s a girl gotta do to get a text back about brunch?
