Fresh after her New York City baby shower (where Meghan Markle kicked off the celebrations by sporting a very chic all-black ensemble), we find out that the Duchess of Sussex will have a second baby shower for her friends across the pond, as reported by royal correspondent Omid Scobie today.
According to reports, the U.K. party will be "a smaller gathering" that will take place after she and Prince Harry travel to Morocco at the end of the month.
Now when royal commentator Scobie says that the second shower will be for Meghan's "pals," who exactly does he mean? While there are currently no details on the guest list, we're betting that Meghan's sister-in-law Kate Middleton makes an appearance.
Meghan's first shower took place in New York City. Festivities started on the Upper East Side at The Mark Hotel on February 19. Friends like stylist Jessica Mulroney, Serena Williams, Priyanka Chopra, Amal Clooney and Meg's Suits co-star Abigail Spencer were all reportedly in attendance.
So, when exactly can we expect this second shower to take place? Meghan and Harry's upcoming trip to Morocco is from February 23 to 25 and will be their first together as a couple. “It will build on the close relationship between the U.K. and Morocco,” a Kensington Palace spokesperson said. “The Duke and Duchess are looking forward to the visit which will highlight the vital roles that girls’ education and youth empowerment are playing in, and shaping, modern Morocco.”
So if reports are correct, that means that Meghan's next shower could be in early March.
