Every Couple Should Adopt Luke Bryan and His Wife’s ‘GoT’ Pact

It’s no secret that our Sunday nights are dedicated to watching Game of Thrones. However, the same can’t be said for Luke Bryan, who just revealed that he was forced to make a pact with his wife, Caroline Boyer, since his show, American Idol, has taken him out of town on Sundays.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the AI judge, 42, admitted that he’s not allowed to watch the HBO series without his other half. “My wife and I—and I’m sure a lot of couples out there do—[we’ve made] it a weekly deal where you go watch it together,” he said.

This proved to be a problem with the eighth (and final) season of GoT, since Bryan is currently filming American Idol in Los Angeles. Nevertheless, the couple managed to work out a deal to avoid any unfaithfulness.

“But I’ve been out here on Sundays, so every week she’s like, ‘Don’t you TV cheat on me!’” Bryan added. “And I’m like, ‘I would never TV cheat [on you] with Game of Thrones!’”

Although Lionel Richie confirmed that he’s unfamiliar with GoT, fellow judge Katy Perry revealed that her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, got her hooked on the show, even though she didn’t watch the first seven seasons.

“I literally just hopped in on this last season. Like, literally, no context, Orlando is like, ‘I wanna watch it,’ and I’m like, ‘OK, let’s watch it!’” she said. “I have no idea what I’m watching, but I’m watching it!”
