Who Is Kristen Stewart's Girlfriend Turned Fiancée, Dylan Meyer? Here's What We Know

Kristen Stewart is taking Hollywood by storm.

Not only has the 30-year-old actress landed a number of lead roles (see Charlie's Angels and Happiest Season), but she also scored her very first Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Princess Diana in the drama film, Spencer. (BTW, have you seen the behind-the-scenes photos?!) Although it's been incredible to see Stewart on the big screen lately, fans are eager to learn more about Stewart's girlfriend turned fiancé, Dylan Meyer.

From IG tributes to their engagement, here’s everything you need to know about Kristen Stewart’s girlfriend.

No, the ‘Twilight’ Movies Were Not Good, But Yes, Kristen Stewart Is About to Win an Oscar

1. Who Is Dylan Meyer?

Meyer is best known for her screenwriting career, though she’s also dabbled in acting. Her on-screen credits include a variety of short films, like Death and Return of Superman, Wrestling Isn’t Wrestling and Jem Reacts to the New Jem and the Holograms Trailer.

As for screenwriting, her resume boasts Loose Ends, XOXO, Miss 2059 and Rock Bottom.

2. How Did Meyer And Stewart Meet?

Although Stewart and Meyer originally met on the set of a movie, things didn’t turn romantic until several years later, when they crossed paths at a mutual friend’s house.

“I met her years ago on a movie, and I hadn’t seen her in six years, and then she rocked up at a friend’s birthday party,” Stewart said on The Howard Stern Show. “And I was like, ‘Where have you been, and how have I not known you?’ She’s been living in L.A. alongside my life somehow but not ever converging.”

3. When Did They Start Dating?

Dating rumors first started circulating back in August 2019 when Kristen and Dylan were photographed showing PDA while out in New York City. The pics were taken on a stoop and look like a grungier version of Gossip Girl.

4. Are They In Love?

Yes, and they don’t care who knows it. According to Stewart, it didn’t take long for the couple to catch feelings. In fact, the actress dropped the L-bomb after only two weeks of dating.

“The first time I told her I loved her…it was like really late, and we were in some s***ty bar and her friends were there or whatever,” she said on The Howard Stern Show. “And they like walked out, and I was just like, ‘Oh, man. I’m so f***ing in love with you.’ Like, done.”

The confession came just a few months after Meyer gushed over Stewart on Twitter. “There is nothing like falling in love with someone to make you abruptly aware of all the different dumb/embarrassing/unsolicited directions your hair can go,” she wrote.

5. Are They Engaged?

They sure are—and Stewart couldn't be more thrilled. She broke the news while appearing on SiriusXM’s Howard Stern Show in November 2021, where she confirmed that her girlfriend of two years popped the question. “We’re marrying, we’re totally gonna do it,” she said, per E! News. “I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted, and she nailed it. We’re marrying, it’s happening.”

Earlier this year, Stewart also told Vanity Fair, "I love being engaged. It's different. ... I just feel so happy and lucky."

6. When Did They Become Ig Official?

In October of 2019, Meyer gave fans an intimate peek into their relationship for the first time. She posted a black-and-white pic of herself and Stewart kissing, then wrote, "Find me under the covers hiding from the happiness police."

Just a few months later, the screenwriter also shared a tribute to Stewart in honor of her girlfriend's 30th birthday. On Instagram, she said, "It’s my absolute favorite person's birthday and I’m wishing everyone the volume of beautiful feeling I feel toward her. It's a short ride on this earth, spend your time with someone that inspires you to be the best version of yourself."
