Kerry Washington Temporarily Quits Social Media with Epic IG Video

Kerry Washington is taking a break from social media, but don't freak out yet.

The Emmy Award-winning actress decided to cover all of the things she would normally post about during the month of March in this special video. Washington shared the clip with a statement saying, "I love you guys. But it's time for me to take a little break from the socials. I miss you already and I know there’s gonna be a lot of special moments unfolding in the next few weeks so I put together a video of all the moments that we would have shared together this month. Enjoy! XOXOXOXO -K"

Washington opens the video, explaining, "So I'm going to take a little bit of a social media hiatus. I'm going to be gone for a few weeks, but there's so many exciting things that are going to happen. So, this is what I would have posted." She then proceeds to fly through a montage of clips, ranging from St. Patrick's Day festivities to rose garden content.

"Happy March Madness! Can you believe that game last night?" she asks before throwing a basketball at the screen. "Today is National Popcorn Lovers Day," Washington preemptively toasts. "Also known as Saint Olivia Pope Day," she says (in reference to her character from the ABC drama Scandal).

Washington took the opportunity to celebrate the upcoming birthdays of her celebrity friends as well, saying, "Cumpleaños feliz mi amiga Eva Longoria!" to which Longoria commented, "Omg I love you!" Washington also sent a birthday shoutout to her Little Fires Everywhere co-star, Reese Witherspoon, in addition to singing "Happy Birthday" for her pal, Mariah Carey.

While the actress is set to star in and executive produce multiple film projects, she has also been busy working behind-the-scenes of the hit series Insecure as one of the episode directors for its final season.

We think the break is well-deserved.
