Kelly Ripa Posts Video of Her Dogs Chewie and Lena 'Arguing' on Instagram: ‘This Is What I Get’

Kelly Ripa loves being a dog mom. So much so, in fact, that she often talks about her furry family members, Chewie and Lena, on Live with Kelly and Ryan. However, it turns out that the 50-year-old television personality jinxed herself when she revealed that her pups get along. Allow us to explain.

On Sunday, the mother of three shared a video on her personal Instagram account featuring Chewie and Lena barking at one another. In a silly twist, the video included captions (provided by TV producer Albert Bianchini) of what Ripa imagines the dogs were arguing about.

“They’re my eight-pound weights and I need them for class,” Lena kicked off the convo, to which Chewie replied, “Bitch please…last time I checked you only weighed three pounds.”

“This is what [I] get for bragging that my dawgs get along on national television,” Ripa captioned the post.

The mother of three is referring to a March episode of the morning show, during which she revealed that she had decided to adopt Lena, a Maltese/Shih Tzu that first appeared on the talk show as part of their Happy Pets segment. Ripa told Ryan Seacrest, "The Consueloses have made a decision to adopt Lena."

She also stated that her biggest fear was Lena not getting along with her other dog. According to Ripa, the two dogs instantly hit if off and when she checked to see how Lena was doing in her crate, Chewie was “outside the crate, sitting next to her with their noses together.”

We guess their cordial relationship didn’t last long...
