Thanks to social distancing, we’ve already completed our summer reading list (and then some). That’s why we turned to Kelly Ripa, who is sharing details about her current must-read.

Yesterday, the Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host, 49, debuted a brand-new book recommendation: Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Ripa posted a photo on her personal Instagram account, featuring herself overlooking the hard copy and her gorgeously manicured lawn.

She captioned the post, “Sublime horror for your summer reading. So good I bought the hard copy and the download to read in the dark. #silviamorenogarcia.”

Mexican Gothic takes place in the ’50s in Mexico and tells the fictional story of Noemí Taboada, a young socialite who’s determined to uncover haunting secrets about an old mansion.

Moreno-Garcia published the book last month, and it’s already receiving critical acclaim. The author is also known for writing Gods of Jade and Shadow, Signal to Noise, The Beautiful Ones and Certain Dark Things.

This isn’t the first time Ripa has posted photos of her home on social media. Last month, she shared a sneak peek of her New York City bathroom and her wall décor. A few weeks later, the actress continued the house tour with an exclusive look at her foliage. The selfie shows the actress posing inside her home, while her husband, Mark Consuelos, is standing shirtless in the backyard.

Thank you, Kelly. Mexican Gothic sounds right up our alley.
