Have You Noticed That Kate Middleton Has Worn the Same Earrings in Every Zoom Call?
It’s no secret Kate Middleton has mastered the art of Zoom, appearing in a variety of video calls during her self-isolation at Anmer Hall. But did you notice she’s wearing the same earrings in every clip?
The Duchess of Cambridge, 38, has been favoring the Ocean Tides Milky Quartz Earrings by Patrick Mavros. While Middleton always changes her outfit, she’s worn the handcrafted jewelry during every appearance this month, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed.
The Ocean Tides Milky Quartz Earrings are made from a combination of 18-carat gold and silver, featuring a dangling pebble attached to a sea urchin that’s bejeweled with diamonds. The stone is quartz, which explains the milky color. The colors were inspired by the Indian Ocean, according to the website.
The earrings retail for $995, so they’re definitely an investment. However, when compared to other Patrick Mavros pieces—like the Elephant Hair Bangle ($8,084)—the price doesn’t seem so bad.
Middleton first debuted the earrings earlier this month when she chatted with new parents ahead of Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week. Since then, the duchess has worn the jewelry during several virtual events, including the launch of her photography project, Victory in Europe Day, International Nurses Day and Mental Health Awareness Week.
Middleton is definitely getting her money’s worth.
