The Jonas Brothers Just Dropped a Brand-New Music Video for ‘Cool’—& It’s ’80s-tastic

It’s been one month since The Jonas Brothers reunited and simultaneously dropped their first music video in five years, “Sucker.” And now, there’s a brand-new song to add to your Spotify playlist.

The boy band just released another song-cum-music-video, titled “Cool,” and it features the three brothers—Nick, Joe and Kevin—throwing a groovy ’80s beach party.

While we were initially appalled that we didn’t receive an invite to the party (how rude?!), that all changed when we realized their better halves—Priyanka Chopra, Sophie Turner and Danielle Jonas—didn’t get the memo either.

The video, which is directed by Anthony Mandler (“Sucker”), features Nick, Joe and Kevin living it up in Miami. Basically, this includes hanging out at the beach, holding a concert for senior citizens and burying Nick up to his neck in sand.

The lyrics describe things that make the Jonas Brothers feel “cool.” Highlights include cool like “a new James Dean,” cool like “Post Malone when I get home” and cool like “a young Jane Fonda.” (Natch.)

While we don’t know where the senior dancers and ’80s ensembles came from, we applaud their creativity.

The new song shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to fans, considering Nick has been teasing a new project on Instagram. It all started last month when the 26-year-old singer shared a photo of himself wearing a black-and-white checkered shirt with yellow pants and wrote, “Shooting something…”

Hey, it turned out pretty cool. (Sorry, had to.)
