Jessica Simpson is makeup-free and positively radiant in her latest Instagram selfie.
The 40-year-old singer recently posted a candid snap of herself and her best friend while getting her hair colored. She wrote in the caption, "My best friend @alienunderdog has the ability to bring out my inner child smile. Life is so much brighter when she is around...she is exactly what I need right now—laughter during uncertainty!"
The mother of three added, "Oh, and she makes your dark roots blonde and plays air guitar simultaneously, bringing light into my world."
In the pic, a makeup-free Simpson is seen laughing as she gets her roots colored in what appears to be her home. Meanwhile, her BFF, Jessie Holiday, is seen playing air guitar while rocking a vintage Pink Floyd shirt. Naturally, we couldn't help but notice Simpson's smooth and radiant skin—and fans also took notice. In the comments, one follower wrote, "Your skin is flawless!!!"
This isn't the first bare-faced selfie that we've seen from the famous mom. On her 40th birthday in July, Simpson shared a mirror selfie with no makeup and a stylish, casual outfit, including a purple hoodie and ripped jeans. She wrote, "I have kept these throwback True Religion jeans in my closet for 14 yrs (I’m not exaggerating!). I figured that since I’m in the final hours of my 30’s I’d give them another try, and hello 40, so nice to meet you."
The Open Book author also treated fans to a makeup-free snap when she signed copies of her memoir in June, proving that she looks just as fabulous without the added glam.
