J.Lo Just Shared a Glimpse of Her Upcoming Rom-Com with Owen Wilson (Including a New Song)

As if we weren't excited enough for Jennifer Lopez's next movie, this new teaser has us even more hyped.

Lopez has been keeping quite busy these past few months, and she has a string of movies that are set to premiere in 2022, with the first being Marry Me. The romantic comedy is directed by Kat Coiro (L!fe Happens, And While We Were Here), and it's inspired by a graphic novel of the same name.

Marry Me was originally set for release in February of this year, but it got pushed back to February 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, Lopez has offered us the first official teaser for the film, and it includes one of the original songs that she recorded for the soundtrack.

In the video, J.Lo sings a track titled “On My Way.” She also quoted some of the song's lyrics in her caption, writing, “Every heartbreak was a yellow brick road...#OnMyWay #MarryMeMovie Trailer Thursday!!!!”

In the film, J.Lo portrays a Latin pop star (seems fitting) who discovers that her partner, Bastian (Maluma), has been cheating on her, so she decides to marry a stranger who attends one of her concerts (Owen Wilson).

While the full-length trailer won't be released until Thursday, Lopez offered a substantial glimpse at the movie, where we see a few of the interactions between her and her male counterparts. We also get shots of a bedazzled wedding gown she wears while singing on stage.

We had previously heard two other songs from the movie, titled “Pa' Ti” and “Lonely,” which Lopez and Maluma recorded together for the movie's soundtrack.

Following the release of Marry Me in February, Lopez will also appear alongside Josh Duhamel in the action comedy Shotgun Wedding, which will premiere in June 2022. The star also recently scored a major Netflix deal, so we should expect other projects in the near future, too.

We'll be counting down the minutes until we get this official trailer.
