Um, the Hosts Just Took Over the ‘Westworld’ Website

It appears Dolores’s takeover rampage in season two, episode one is only the beginning.

The second season of Westworld is far from over, and the hosts are already taking over the show’s website. No, really. The characters recently hacked Westworld’s online portal and dropped subtle hints about taking control and creating a new world. Gulp.

Here’s what you need to know: When entering the Westworld site, users are greeted with a mysterious new warning, saying, “System Status: Communications Embargo.”

After clicking “recall,” we’re taken to a subtly different homepage.

Instead of the greeting we’re used to seeing…

…the site now features a similar page with a few minor changes.

“Life without loops, prepare for a new future.” Creepy, we know.

Upon scrolling, you’ll notice the site’s usual “book your stay” text is MIA.

In fact, it’s been replaced by a series of photos with text overlay and, um, what the heck is happening.

It reads, “We evolved. The experience evolved. We rule this world now.”

To top it off, the locations of both Dolores and Maeve have been updated on the explore page, and we’d be stupid to ignore it.

Still confused? So are we. The second season of Westworld airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on HBO.
