Halle Berry's New Pixie Cut Is Giving Us All the ‘X-Men’ Vibes

Halle Berry rocked one of her boldest hairstyles to date at the 2022 Critics' Choice Awards—and something tells us that her X-Men character, Storm, would approve.

The Bruised director recently adopted the Bixie haircut trend (a cross between a bob and a pixie cut) with shorter, platinum blonde tresses. But Berry also added her own twist by buzzing the side of her head and keeping the roots of her hair dark. She paired her show-stopping 'do with a white corset and black velvet Dolce & Gabbana suit, complete with green statement earrings.

On Instagram, the 55-year-old star shared a few snaps from the ceremony, where she was honored with the SEE HER award, and fans couldn't help but gush over the trendy new look. One commenter wrote, "I wasn’t ready for the haircut friend. Now I gotta cut my hair." Another said, "Love the hair. So adorable on you."

In the caption, Berry wrote, "I was extremely honored tonight to receive the SEE HER award from @seeher and the @criticschoice. Our voice is the most powerful tool we have, and it’s imperative that we stand up and use it! Here’s to every person who has felt diminished, misunderstood, marginalized and discounted. Now is the time for all of us to stand up, stand united and have our voices heard!"

After receiving her award at the ceremony, Berry also delivered a powerful speech on the importance of telling women's stories. She said, "I've been in the business for 30 years, and I used to think that if I could play the part of a white man, then I was winning. But you know what, wanna know why that didn't work? Because, if you didn't know, I'm not a white man. So, for those roles to work, they would have to be substantially changed. It would have to be written with the reality of my journey, in all of its beauty and all of its pain."

Berry added, "This is why I am so grateful to be standing and living in this moment where women are standing up, and we are telling our own stories. We will use our emotional intelligence, and we will tell stories that don't fit preconceived notions. We will tell stories that see us fully in all our multitudes and contradictions. Because we are confident, and we are scared. We are vulnerable and we are strong." *Cue mic drop.*

Yep, Berry is a total stunner—both inside and out.
