First it was high-fashion capes. Then it was drinkable color schemes. And now, a brand-new fashion trend has emerged at the 2021 Golden Globes.
Tonight, Hollywood’s biggest stars will virtually gather for the 78th annual ceremony. Ahead of the awards show, countless celebs are sharing photos of their at-home fashion looks. The biggest trend to emerge (so far) is dramatic sleeves—keep reading for three celebs who nailed it.
Kate Hudson shared a sneak peek on Instagram of her ’70s-inspired dress, which features an asymmetric neckline and flared sleeves. She captioned the post, “Just because were doing the Golden Globes from home doesn’t mean I’m not gonna bring the same old fashion vibes to my couch!”
Elle Fanning documented her pre-Globes photoshoot (why not?) on social media. In the photos, the actress is wearing a silky baby blue dress, which has bejeweled straps. There’s also a long piece of fabric attached to one sleeve, creating a dreamy silhouette.
She wrote, “Dressed up for a night in for the @goldenglobes Thank you to my beautiful hair and makeup team on the show @erinayanianmonroe and @glynnlorraine They transform me into Catherine every day on set and are a part of this special day!”
Laverne Cox didn’t give too much away. However, based on the “teaser” she shared on Instagram, her red dress appears to have dramatic, embellished sleeves. She captioned the post, “Teaser of my #GoldenGlobes look for tonight. More to come.”
