This Corn Is Officially the Prettiest Vegetable We've Ever Seen

Corn will always have a special place in our heart. We’ll put it in just about anything: gnocchicarbonarabread...the opportunities are infinite. Just when we thought we couldn’t love the stuff any more, the corn of all corns enters the room. And it’s rainbow-hued.

Developed by Oklahoma farmer Carl Barnes, Glass Gem Corn is a result of crossing two heritage seeds (Pawnee and Osage). So yes, it’s all-natural to boot. The heirloom varietal even has its own Facebook page. Apologies in advance to our yellow-kerneled standby, but we’ll be taking some serious corn selfies once we get our hands on the rainbow stuff.

But don’t expect the Technicolor kernels to yield a similarly hued bowl of popcorn. Only the hull (the part that gets stuck in your teeth) is colorful. The popped kernels are white…but still delicious.
