Emilia Clarke’s Emmys Look Was Inspired By Jennifer Lopez

When it came to the 2019 Emmy Awards, Emilia Clarke drew inspiration from a surprising muse: Jennifer Lopez.

Tonight, the Game of Thrones star, 32, attended the 71st annual ceremony at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. On her way to the purple carpet, Clarke shared a photo of her “lewk” on Instagram and revealed that it’s all thanks to J.Lo.

“@emmys2019 WE BE ROLLLLLIN! @jlo just as heads up you have inspired this year’s lewk,” she wrote.

Clarke went on to thank the people who made it all happen, adding, “I am one lucky lady to have the best glam squad ever invented... @jennychohair @jilliandempsey @petraflannery @jennahipp YOU HAVE LIT THIS CHICK ON FYRE! Thank you thank you thank you!”

She concluded the post with several fitting hashtags: “#motherofdragonstakesafinalgoodbye #mighthaveneededadragontogetmethereontime #iplanonseeingtomorrowssunrise.”

For tonight’s Emmy Awards, Clarke is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for playing Daenerys Targaryen in GoT. She’s up against several worthy contenders, including Jodie Comer for Killing Eve, Viola Davis for How to Get Away with Murder, Laura Linney for Ozark, Mandy Moore for This Is Us, Sandra Oh for Killing Eve and Robin Wright for House of Cards.

While we don’t exactly know how Lopez inspired Clarke’s look (perhaps the plunging neckline?), we can’t deny that the actress looks confident AF.
