Elton John & Taron Egerton Just Performed ‘Tiny Dancer’ & It Didn’t Disappoint

Elton John teamed up with Taron Egerton for a duet of “Tiny Dancer,” and yes, it’s just as delightful as it sounds.

Last night, the “Your Song” singer, 71, hosted his annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party. During the event, John took the stage alongside Egerton—who plays the music legend in the upcoming movie Rocketman—and performed a must-watch duet of his 1971 track, “Tiny Dancer.”

In the video, John plays the piano while Egerton belts the lyrics to the iconic song.

The gala raised more than $6.3 million to benefit the AIDS Foundation. According to Entertainment Weekly, Egerton agreed to perform the song only if John would accompany him on the piano, and we’re so glad he did.

Rocketman, which is described as an “epic musical fantasy,” tracks John’s early days in the music industry and his rise from the Royal Academy of Music to international acclaim.

In addition to Egerton, the film also stars Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), Richard Madden (Game of Thrones), Jamie Bell (Fantastic Four) and Gemma Jones (Bridget Jones’s Diary). Dexter Fletcher (Eddie and the Eagle) is directing the movie.

Welp, we love this so much. Rocketman will hit theaters on May 31.
