Demi Lovato Is the Latest to Hop on the Lob Train

It’s only spring, but Demi Lovato is already looking cool for the summer.

The 26-year-old Grammy nominee traded out her signature long locks for a new haircut that’s trending all over Hollywood. Everyone from Mandy Moore and Julia Roberts to Kristen Bell and Sarah Hyland have hopped on the lob train in the past several months and now Lovato has joined the club.

Her hairstylist, Amber Maynard Bolt of Nine Zero One Salon in West Hollywood, California, shared the before and after photos on Instagram and Lovato’s locks are looking nice and fresh.

“Demi has been feeling great and wanted something to represent that! She’s been wearing extensions and growing her hair out for a while so this was a nice change up, while keeping her classic and beautiful!” Maynard told PureWow in a statement.

She echoed that in her caption, writing, “Spring cleaning? I would say so! Changing our hair seasonally is great way to feel good about yourself and to feed the soul.”

You’ll notice Lovato side-parted her dark brown lob and wore it straight with the ends curled under. This is a stark change from her auburn mid-length extensions, and we have to say we love it.

Lovato shared a series of photos of her new chop on Instagram. She captioned it, “New hair wassupppp,” with the haircut emoji.
