Sarah Hyland is the latest to join Mandy Moore, Kristen Bell, Julia Roberts and Chrissy Teigen in getting the hottest haircut of 2019. But, the 28-year-old Modern Family star found a way to stand out from the rest by adding a retro cool aspect to her new hairstyle.
Hyland debuted a brand-new shaggy lob on Instagram and put out all the Courteney Cox vibes.
Her new chop is textured, it’s healthy, it’s unexpected, and we’re totally digging it. She simply captioned the pic of her ’do “Shagadocious bro,” because of course she did.
Although Hyland’s hair appeared to be its same rich chocolate brown hue with a touch of auburn in the initial pic, she must have popped into the salon for another round of processing.
Hyland posted on Instagram again yesterday to reveal that in addition to a new cut she’s also rocking a fresh red-brown russet-colored shade. Her hairstylist Nikki Lee of Nine Zero One Salon in West Hollywood, California, also shared a pic of Hyland’s new look. She dubbed it “Shagged Auburn” and pointed out that it’s definitely Coachella-ready.
Hyland, who has naturally curly hair, has toggled between rocking it shoulder-length and keeping it long and straight for her role as Haley Dunphy on Modern Family. Now, however, as the show draws to a close, she’s turning over a new hair leaf.
All we can say is keep rocking that shaggy Courteney Cox ’do, Sarah. It most definitely suits you.
