First it was Justin Bieber. Then it was Zac Efron. And now, Channing Tatum is doing his part to transform into Eminem.
Well, sorta. The Magic Mike star, 38, recently surprised his 17 million Instagram followers when he shared a photo on his Story featuring his brand-new hairdo. The pic shows Tatum giving his best Zoolander face with platinum blond hair, and no, we’re not kidding.
“Bad idea? Haha,” he wrote, along with a poll that says, “Yes” or “No.”
So, why did Tatum channel Eminem circa 1990? Unfortunately, we don’t know the real reason, but there are two ways this could go. First, the actor could be preparing for a brand-new mystery role that requires bleached hair. And second, he could be bored out of his mind. (We’ve all been there, and it never ends well.)
Either way, Tatum isn’t the first celeb to cross over to the light side. Back in January, Efron was nearly unrecognizable at the Sundance Film Festival when he showed up sporting a brand-new hair color: blond. While Tatum’s is far less dramatic, we’d do anything to hear an explanation.
One question still remains: Will the real Channing Tatum please stand up?
