We pity the bride who planned her wedding for this weekend, because society's best bet is to sit on the couch from Friday to next Tuesday (!) in order to watch all of the amazing premieres happening over the next few days. Here, three reasons this weekend and upcoming week are about to be the best of 2019. Hands down. No contest. (We'll just fast forward to 2020 after this, OK?)
Is This the Biggest Weekend of 2019? ‘Game of Thrones’, Beyoncé's ‘Homecoming’, Rihanna's Movie...
Saturday, April 13: Rihanna And Donald Glover's 'guava Island' Premiere
The super-secret project, a movie called Guava Island, was scooped up by Amazon Studios and stars RiRi and Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino). It's going to premiere at Coachella this weekend and stream for free for 18 hours only starting Saturday at 3 a.m.
Yeah, if you think you're getting any sleep this weekend, you're sadly mistaken.
Sunday, April 14: 'game Of Thrones' Season 8 Premiere
Littlefinger's (probably) alive. Cersei's really pregnant. Jon Snow is going to ride a dragon. WE'RE ALL GOING TO PASS OUT FROM EXCITEMENT.
Even if you don't watch—which, what were you thinking?!—just, like, pretend to be thrilled for all your Thrones-loving friends. OK?
Game of Thrones season eight premieres on Sunday at 9 p.m. on HBO.
Tuesday, April 16: Beyoncé's Homecoming Documentary Premiere
Technically, Beyoncé's highly anticipated Coachella documentary Homecoming drops at 12 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, which means we're staying up all night on Tuesday to catch the Netflix premiere. (And blasting Lemonade all weekend long in preparation.)
The Birth Of Baby Sussex
JK! But, seriously, Meghan and Harry: Please don't make us hyperventilate any more than we already are this weekend.
