Chris Harrison Confirms Big Changes to ‘The Bachelorette’ Cast After Filming Delays

Production for Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette has been put on hold due to the need for social distancing. So, what does it mean for the 30 contestants?

According to Chris Harrison, there’s a good chance that ABC will change the lineup of cast members in light of the delay. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Bachelor Nation host, 48, confirmed that fans will probably see “different guys” when the show resumes filming.

“It’s not out of the realm of possibility [that we’d recast the men],” he said.

Although fans were originally concerned about the age range of the contestants, Harrison revealed that it has everything to do with finding a group of guys who will be able to drop everything at a moment’s notice…again.

“The thought that 25, 30, 35 guys—everybody that was able to take time off [then would be able to] come back on The Bachelorette…we don’t have a set time of when we’re going to come back,” he continued. “So, the idea that everybody’s just going to be able to take off work and do this again? Probably very slim.”

Earlier this week, Crawley hosted an Instagram Live segment and revealed that ABC is still accepting applications for her season of The Bachelorette. When Harrison brought it up, he admitted that “it’s not such a bad idea” for interested parties to apply.

“Maybe it will be completely different guys. Maybe it will be a mixture,” Harrison added. “Who knows?”

Since the show was put on hold before the men ever stepped out of the limo, anything is possible.
