Alicia Silverstone's son, Bear Blu, is known for proudly sporting his super long locks. But now, it looks like the nine-year-old has switched things up.
While sharing a post that encouraged fans to adopt a turkey for Thanksgiving, Silverstone posted a clip of herself and her son spending some quality time with turkeys on a farm. However, fans were quick to notice that Bear no longer had his signature long hair.
In the video, Bear gushes about turkeys while petting them with his mom on the farm. Then, the mother-son duo are seen in Silverstone's kitchen as they prepare some vegan-friendly dishes. In the caption, Silverstone wrote, "Bear and I had so much fun making new friends at @FarmSanctuary." But as much as we appreciated the cooking demonstrations (and the rare glimpse into their homey kitchen), it was Bear's new hair that stole the show.
One fan wrote, "Bear looks so much older with short hair!" Another fan added, "Bear’s hair! He’s such a little cutie short or long hair! Happy Thanksgiving to you and Bear!"
Fortunately for fans, only four days later, Silverstone offered an inside look at Bear's hair transformation process, confirming that it was his decision. And in the video, we see his excited reaction as he gets his special makeover.
In the caption, Silverstone explained, "Yes, It’s true. Bear cut his hair!! My baby’s growing up. I miss his hair!!!!! Was it his decision? Yes. Did I cry inside as I watched him get it cut? Maybe…but did I try to stop him? Not for one second."
She continued, "The reason he chose to keep it for as long as he did was because he loved it so much!!! He just wanted to try something new. Although I have a feeling he’ll find a way back to his long hair again in the future. No matter what though, I will always support my sweet, caring, and precious little boy in every decision he makes."
As much as we liked Bear's long hair, we totally agree that he looks just as handsome without it!
